Diane Snyder Ptak C.L.S., M.S.(2), U.E., award winning author, lecturer and educator, has been the manager of the Albany, NY based Lineages Unlimited for more than twenty-two years.  She has dual M.S. degrees and in 1986 completed the research required to be a Certified Lineage Specialist.

In her business she helps individual clients identify and locate missing ancestors and solve family history problems.  More specifically, as a lineage specialist she has provided detailed biographical information on prominent persons, located the proverbial missing link, completed the applications and documentation required for lineage societies, conducted estate heir searches, collaborated as part of a team with other researchers, and kicked down hundreds of brick walls.  She also has been a featured speaker at family history conferences throughout North America.
